     You're probably here for the basics, so here you go! I'm 50 years old, though if you saw me, you'd probably not even know I was that old. I definitely don't act it! The older I get, the more I do. Beyond backpacking and this website, I also dabble in photography, sewing, crafting, and volunteer work. I do most of my volunteer work with Grand Canyon Hikers and Backpackers Association, where I am currently on the Board of Directors.

     I'm also very happily involved with the most wonderful man a woman could ask for and have been blessed with his company for 15 years now. We live together on our farm in East Texas. It's quiet, nice, and very scenic. I have three children, four grandchildren, eight siblings, and numerous neices & nephews. I'm quite the family gal, as you can see! ;)
